One of LA’s most spectacular homes has sold for a cool $9.4 million. The famed “Hang Glider” house, named because of its resemblance to a hang glider, is perched atop the Hollywood Hills. Offering incredible views of the LA skyline, this stunning home sold for just under $2 million more than its asking price.

Originally listed for $7.9 million, a bidding war broke out, with the final $9.4 million offer coming from tech entrepreneur Jacob “BA” Blackstock. While not a household name like Musk or Bezos, Blackstock is one of the founders of Bitmoji. Responsible for creating Bitstrips (those comic strip emojis), the company was purchased by Snapchat in 2016 for a whopping $100 million, with Blackstock serving as its CEO.

Designed by architect Harry Gesner in 1975, the three-level mansion uses a lot of wood, helping it stand out from the usuals homes in the area. Large glass windows also feature, offering residence spectacular views of the surrounding area.

Described as “the sexiest, most timeless and architecturally impressive estate in the Hollywood Hills,” the luxury abode covers 4,543 square feet that includes four bedrooms, six bathrooms, several living rooms, and a deluxe kitchen. A glass elevator takes you to the bottom floor where the bedrooms are, including the master suite that opens out onto the main patio and infinity pool. Behind the house is a state-of-the-art recording that was regularly used by the previous owner, Erick Morillo, the famous DJ and record executive known by most for his 1994 smash I Like to Move It.

Other top-notch features include a two-car garage, multiple outdoor entertaining areas, and easy-to-look-after gardens, thanks to the use of artificial turf.
