  • Now type reagentc /setreimage /path \\?\GLOBALROOT\device\harddisk X\partition Y\Recovery\WindowsRE. You can replace X with disk number and Y with partition number.
  • Type reagentc/enable and hit Enter.
  • Now type reagentc/info and hit Enter to ensure everything is in order.


  1. Clear Windows.old directory

In case you recently installed Windows 10 on your system or updated an existing one, Windows.old directory could still be on your system. This directory contains files from your previous Windows installation and allows you to revert to older version of Windows if any need arises.
