Files downloaded from the internet are normally saved in the Downloads folder. You can change the destination location and save your files on the desktop for easier and quicker access.

Once you log on to your system, the files you saved onto a folder is the first thing you see. Instead of searching for downloaded files among several folders in the Downloads folder, you can better organize it amongst the few folders on your Desktop.

There are times however, you may not be able to access these files. You have selected the destination as Desktop and downloaded some files, but when you search the Desktop for these files, they are nowhere to be found. So, what happened to them? Did they disappear?
